A WW1 Bavarian military merit cross 3rd class with swords & presentation case, constructed in bronze tombak. The obverse of the medal depicts a Maltese cross with cross swords, with a the cypher of King Ludwig III in the centre, surrounded by a ring incribed “Merenti” for merit complete with original ribbon. The reverse bears the Bavarian crowned lion surrounded by a buckled belt with the date “1886”. The presentation box is constructed in burgundy cardboard. The front of the box is embosed “Bayr M.V. Kr. 3.Kl.”. The reverse box is marked Deschler & Sohn, München. The present box has a few scuffs and the medal has no damage or repairs in good condition.
