This star is set against a white background within a red border. The overall diameter of the patch is 69.8mm, with an inner border featuring six invected edges. This design incorporates the patriotic colors of the United States: red, white, and blue. It was first approved for wear by the War Department Overhead on July 30, 1941, and subsequently by various military branches in subsequent years. The badge has no damage or repairs in good condition.
