Queen’s South Africa Medal

$34.28 $57.93
Description Queen’s South Africa Medal All British-led forces serving in South Africa between 11 October 1899 and the war’s conclusion on May 31, 1902, were given the Queen’s South Africa Medal. The British Army, Royal Navy, hospital nurses, colonial forces from Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and India, along with locally raised units from the Cape of Good Hope, the Natal, and “hensoppers” (collaborators, literally “hands-uppers”) from the South African Republic and Orange Free State, as well as civilians employed in an official capacity, war reporters, and non-enlisted men of any nationality who drew military pay, all qualified for the medal. This included troops like the 10th New Zealand Contingent, who arrived at Durban in May 1902 but experienced no combat.
